Basketball season has arrived

New, 35 comments

We don't get a Cougar Football Saturday this week, but there is a Cougar Basketball Friday tonight.

William Mancebo

The Cougar men's basketball team tips off its season tonight with a game against CSU Bakersfield at 7 p.m. PT. In just a matter of hours, players will be traveling and gettin' away with it.

If you haven't done so already, Jeff's post on projecting WSU is mandatory reading for anyone interested in basketball. Most don't have very high expectations heading into the season, so if you'd rather re-live some of the past, you're in luck. WSUCougars.com has quick updates of all the former players currently playing professionally. There are updates on 11 players including Kyle Weaver, Taylor Rochestie, Brock Motum and that Klay Thompson guy.

Say what you want about basketball season, but at the very least we should have the return of some interesting shot faces. I highly doubt, however, anyone will be able to unseat the shot face king, Abe Lodwick.
