DaVonte Lacy has surgery, Cougars win

It was a good news, bad news Saturday for WSU.

Ezra Shaw

The Washington State men's basketball team picked up a win on Saturday, but the Cougars did so without leading scorer DaVonte Lacy. Lacy had his appendix removed on Saturday and will miss some time.

The timetable for him to return is up in the air. Ken Bone said Lacy could return in three days, or it could take two weeks, according to Jacob Thorpe. I haven't had my appendix removed before, but it seems like it would be somewhat super human for Lacy to resume playing basketball three days after surgery.

As for the game, the Cougars dispatched Mississippi Valley State with relative ease, even without Lacy. Here's a Twitter recap from Craig and Kyle.
