The rib injury DaVonte Lacy suffered against ASU was not only serious enough to keep him from playing against Colorado, but will keep him out for the foreseeable future. Ken Bone said there is no timetable for when Lacy will be able to return and even when he is able to practice, it will take some time for him to work back into playing shape, according to Jacob Thorpe.
"I'm sure it's going to be him coming back and then playing in stages, maybe get 20 or 30 minutes in one practice, maybe the next day 45, maybe the next day almost the whole practice," Bone said, via the Spokesman Review. "It's going to take a little bit of time for him to get back at 100 percent, and I don't even know when that process begins"
The rib injury is separate from the appendectomy that kept Lacy from playing against Arizona. Basically, the junior guard just can't catch a break right now. With Lacy out the Cougars will rely on Que Johnson and Royce Woolridge to pick up the scoring slack. Lacy was by far the WSU's most-efficient scorer and the best rebounding guard. Get well soon, DaVonte.
