The Washington State Cougars are hosting the Gonzaga Bulldogs, probably as you are reading this. The game is being televised on Fox Sports 1, with a late start set for 8 p.m. PT. Can the Cougs pull the upset?
One thing that will certainly help is the absence of 7'1 Gonzaga center Przemek Karnowski, who appears to be a late scratch. Karnowski has been off to a slow start offensively, but he is an enforcer in the lane and an anchor for a tough Zags defense.
That will make things a little easier for a Cougar offense that will be facing its toughest test of the young season. There will be more space inside for Josh Hawkinson and Ike Iroegbu will have less to fear when driving the lane.
Will that be enough for the Cougs to overcome a better Gonzaga squad? Maybe, but we at least know it will certainly help their cause.
So tune into Fox Sports 1 and join us in the comment thread!
