The Cougars (9-5, 1-1) had a rough month of December and a poor start to 2016 but a home win over UCLA last Friday was WSU's best performance of the season. With almost a full week between games and a little momentum, Coach Kent and the boys are well rested are ready for the hated Huskies (10-4, 2-0).
Both teams from the Evergreen State were victorious against the Bruins last week. It took the Huskies two overtimes to earn a New Year's day win over UCLA.
Two days later, a tired UCLA team traveled to Pullman to face the Cougars. They were greeted by hot shooting and another Josh Hawkinson double-double (nine straight by the way...no biggie).
Today WSU will try to get their second Pac-12 win of the season. UW has been playing good basketball and it will not be an easy game for the Cougs.
The Cougars will need to limit turnovers, shoot the ball well and play good half-court defense like they did against UCLA in order to win.
