Landing 4-star center Dishon Jackson was a major coup.

NCAA Basketball: Pac-12 Media Day Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Actual Washington State Cougars news has been sparse during this coronavirus lockdown, but the faithful were rewarded this past week with a massive basketball recruiting commitment from 4-star center Dishon Jackson.

As you well know, that’s rare territory for WSU. Which is why we very much enjoyed celebrating Jackson’s commitment on this week’s show!

Show rundown:

  • Dishon Jackson: Cougar basketball picked up a commitment from a 4-star center, and that’s not something WSU basketball usually does — further validating the job Kyle Smith is doing as the head man in Pullman.
  • CJ Elleby and the NBA Draft (25:00ish): Could WSU’s leading player leave the team after his sophomore season? We’re not so sure.
  • Over/under on WSU football (54:00ish): At least one sports book has set the Cougs’ total for next fall at six wins. That ... seems about right, we guess? Let’s talk it out.

Fair warning, we do use naughty words from time. You’ll probably hate it. We don’t care.

(But if you do like it, please leave us a five-star review — it helps other people find the podcast.)
