Podcast Vs. Everyone: You win some, you lose some

It was an up-and-down-weekend for Cougar athletics.

NCAA Basketball: Washington State at Oregon Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

It was a weekend of euphoria, starting with big wins for Washington State men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, and eventually soccer. But then it finished with a thud, as losses all around were capped by news of a DUI arrest for presumed 2021 starting QB Jayden de Laura.

Let’s recap it all, starting with men’s hoops, where we’re still a little bit in awe of the crazy pants officiating we saw over the two games. We then assess the tournament chances for the women following their split with UCLA/USC before thinking about volleyball and soccer.

And then we wonder: What will de Laura’s DUI arrest mean for the freshman?

You’ll probably hate it. We don’t care. We also use naughty words from time to time. You’ve been warned.
