The Washington State Cougars provided the first bit of actual drama in the 2019 season when they trailed the Houston Cougars at halftime on Friday. Of course, everything turned out OK, but it still left us with plenty to talk about.
Probably too much, to be honest, because this is a long one! Might want to listen in shifts.
Show rundown:
- Small talk/beer: Jeff’s having a Swedish beer, while Craig — recording LIVE from Las Vegas — harkened back to his Nashville days.
- WSU comes back to beat Houston (13:00): Let’s recap the game. The first half had us feeling a certain kind of way, and even led to a little spat between us co-hosts during halftime. But the second half had us all smiles. What are the big takeaways? We also talk about the blessing and curse of increased expectations.
- Pac-12 roundup (1:25:00): WSU’s road schedule the rest of the year suddenly looks much more formidable.
- GARDNER!! (1:37:00): Our former QB had another good game! The only thing that can stop Gardner Minshew is his own head coach.
You’ll probably hate it. We don’t care.
