Cougar Football Saturday, Oregon State edition

It's one of the 12 (possibly 13) best Saturday's of the year.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

It's amazing the difference a decent team can make for a football season. During the last few seasons, the six days in between games felt like a reprieve, now they feel like an eternity.

It has only been a week since WSU beat Cal, but to it feels longer. I guess the anticipation of playing a meaningful non-Apple Cup this late in the season will do that. Gameday has finally arrived, but there is still some waiting to do until kickoff.

WSU's volleyball and soccer teams got the weekend off to a good start with wins on Friday. The soccer team notched a 3-0 win against Colorado while the volleyball team knocked off No. 16 Arizona State. Hopefully the football team keeps things rolling tonight.

Consider this your open thread to discuss the WSU flag on College GameDay the early college football action, etc.
