There's been a lot of discussion about WSU's passing game this week. The WSU side of the discussion has focused on the struggles of Connor Halliday and how WSU will move forward. The Oregon side of things has been more on the challenge the Ducks will face going against a team who throws as much as the Cougars.
Andrew Greif of the Oregonian wrote an article on Wednesday which included quotes about WSU's offense from Mark Helfrich and Ifo Ekpre-Olomu. The article also included this:
"Against Oregon State he was fine just chunking along, taking short-yardage gains and maybe taking a shot down the field once in a while and as soon as Oregon State got up, that's when the wheels kind of fell off," said Brian Anderson, a contributor to the WSU blog Cougcenter.com, which has detailed Halliday's season in detail. "They were ‘what are you thinking?' kind of balls."
The good news for all of us is even though he's Internet famous and all now, Brian is still going to continue to write awesome things ... you know in between all of his interviews.

Tackling adversity high on WSU's to-do list - Spokesman.com - Oct. 16, 2013
Responding to adversity is an issue for the Washington State football team. The losses to Stanford and Oregon State were made worse by the manner in which both games got out of hand so quickly.

Sometimes we reporters have to see things to believe them. Rather than jump on the Oregon bandwagon, like giddy fans and Duck-friendly media, I needed to see some things from the 2013 team to anoint them national championship contenders. Who wouldn't wait to make such judgment?
