If you are somehow unaware, Halloween is in two days which of course means Cougar Football Thursday. WSU has been somewhat of a Jekyll and Hyde team this season, so we'll all be waiting to see what the Cougars are dressed as this time. A Thursday game may not be ideal, but we'll have to wait and see if it's a trick or a treat for the Cougs.
Instead of continuing to read my horrible Halloween jokes, I would suggest you listen to the latest episode of the CougCenter Hour instead. Preston may have delivered his best show yet, which is saying something. Here is a link to listen and a quick overview of the episode.
Man, we've got a hell of a show lined up for this week. Author of "The System: The Glory and Scandal of Big Time College Football" Jeff Benedict will join us at 7:12. He spoke about Mike Leach's firing at Texas Tech and subsequent hiring at WSU in the book at length. He'll also be on campus this week for a few signings with Leach and Bill Moos. He has some incredible insights into Leach's termination at Tech so this is 20 minutes of must listen radio.
Brad Denny from House of Sparky will have a heck of an act to follow but he'll do just that at 7:35. Brad will help us preview ASU and what they're bringing up to the Palouse this Thursday.

Monday practice report and an award finalist - SportsLink - Spokesman.com - Oct. 28, 2013
The Cougars had a Monday practice today because of the skewed schedule stemming from a Thursday night football game this week. Things got a bit chippy during the session when freshman Emmitt Su'a-Kalio appeared to good-naturedly hold down running back Theron West during a special teams drill. West took exception to Su'a-Kalio not letting him up, and took a swing at the freshman when he rose. The players were quickly separated and neither seemed the worse for wear.
First look: Arizona St. at Washington St. - Spokesman.com - Oct. 28, 2013
The Cougars have lost their last two games by a combined score of 114-62. While their opponents in those games certainly weren’t pushovers, neither is Arizona State. The Cougars need to show that they can be competitive with the "good" teams in the conference. Additionally, WSU needs two more wins to go bowling, and will have a shot at a win with what should be a raucous Halloween crowd.
Cougs find ASU nightmare very forgettable - Spokesman.com - Oct. 28, 2013
PULLMAN – Last year’s game against Arizona State is becoming a distant memory for the Washington State football team, just as fast as the Cougars can possibly manage it. Even more so than usual, the "tunnel vision"-espousing team is in a hurry to forget last year’s game.
