You no longer have to worry about WSU missing out on a bowl. Mike Leach said it would be "unfathomable" for WSU to get passed over, so therefore it cannot be fathomed. Stop fathoming it.

Bowl eligible teams are allowed to practice up until the decisions are made, so WSU will return to the practice field on Thursday. At the very worst, the Cougars will get in a couple of extra practices if they are passed over. Leach, however, doesn't seem to think that will be the case, or even a possibility.

"Well, we had the toughest schedule in the country," Leach said, via the Spokesman Review. "We were one of the hottest teams toward the end of the season so it's unfathomable we wouldn't go to a bowl."

Jeff Sagarin rated WSU's schedule as the second hardest (behind Utah), while Sports Reference rated it as the ninth-hardest, but you get the point.

It's a good sign Leach and others -- including Oregon State's athletic director -- seem confident the Cougars will land in a bowl. We'll have to wait until Sunday to see if they are right.
