WSU spring football: Spokane Week underway

The Crimson and Gray game isn't until Saturday, but WSU has a number of events scheduled leading up to the spring game.

From the day he took over as athletic director, Bill Moos has preached the importance of connecting Spokane and WSU athletics. Moos moved the spring game to Spokane to help generate interest, but it goes beyond the Crimson and Gray game.

Instead, there is an entire week of events leading up to Saturday's game at Joe Albi Stadium. The events got underway on Monday, but there is more to come. Here is a quick look at the notable events, the complete schedule can be found at WSUCougars.com.

Spokane Week:

Tuesday: WSU baseball at Gonzaga -- tailgate 4 to 6 p.m., first pitch at 6 p.m.

Thursday: Burgers with Bill Moos - 4 to 6 p.m. at Swinging Doors

Friday: Golf tournament -- 1 p.m. at Circling Raven Golf Club

Friday: Young alumni event - 9 p.m. at Northern Quest Casino

Saturday: Fan fest: - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Joe Albi

Saturday: Crimson and Gray game - 2 p.m.
