HCA: Mike Leach on the radio and more

Mike Leach and Deone Bucannon talk media day and more.

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-US PRESSWIRE

Pac-12 media day is still a week away, but Mike Leach and WSU players are already beginning to make the rounds. Leach was a guest on 710 ESPN on Thursday while senior safety Deone Bucannon was interviewed by the Pac-12 Network.

I'm scrambling for time this week and haven't had a chance to listen to Leach's interview, but according to the blurb from the Wyman, Mike and Moore show, Leach talked about pressure on players during media days while also providing a look inside the Cougars locker room. Typically, I don't link things with out verifying they are worthy, but it's Mike Leach on the radio, it can't be too bad.

(The issues with the embedded player below seem to be fixed, but if you experience trouble using it, you can also find the interview here - just move the slider up to 25:10.)

Washington State defense sneaky good? - Pac-12 Blog - ESPN

Taking only a cursory glance at Washington State's 2013 defense, you might only see the loss of four-year sacks leader Travis Long and the 33.7 points per game the Cougars surrendered last year, and therefore your most generous reaction probably would be, "Neh."
