31 days to football: Rank the Pac-12

Preseason rankings are all the rage, so let's get in on the action.

Stephen Dunn

If you haven't been paying attention recently, preseason conference rankings have been flying off the presses (or keyboards) lately. The preseason media poll was released last week, with WSU checking in at No. 6 in the Pac-12 North.

We could accept that as fact and move on, or we could create our own poll. We at CougCenter are obviously always rebelling against the man, so let's create our own. At the end, I'll tally it all up and we'll see how your opinions compare to those of the Pac-12 media.

The format is simple, just fill in the blanks.

North
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

South
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

I'll get things started with my preseason rankings.

North
1. Stanford
2. Oregon
3. Washington
4. Oregon State
5. Washington State
6. California

South
1. UCLA
2. USC
3. Arizona
4. Arizona State
5. Utah
6. Colorado

That isn't too far off the media consensus but I do differ slightly. The most notable difference I have is Arizona State. I have the Sun Devils fourth in the South, while the media consensus had them second.

How do you rank the Pac-12?
