With so many teams bunched up in the Pac-12, it's become quite the guessing game to try and project where the WSU Cougars will end up playing their bowl game.
The Las Vegas Bowl is a popular pick among the national prognosticators, presumably because they view Washington State as the least desirable of the Pac-12's bowl teams that have 6-3 or 5-4 records who would be eligible to be picked for the Holiday Bowl, Foster Farms Bowl, Sun Bowl and Las Vegas Bowl. (It fits nicely with their 10,000-foot view that WSU is the least desirable anything.)
But people who actually cover the Pac-12 have a different take. Here's what ESPN Pac-12 writer Kyle Bonagura tweeted this morning:
Holiday Bowl remains split on WSU/USC (if Stanford wins), per source. Whichever team Holiday doesn't take likely headed for Sun.

Would be a shock at this point if UCLA doesn't play in Foster Farms and Utah appears destined for Vegas.

If true, this is pretty great news for WSU. If you're wondering how to root, hoping for an embarrassing USC loss in the Pac-12 title game is probably the best course of action. In the meantime, if the Holiday Bowl really is split, feel free to flirt openly with them to show how much we'd like to visit San Diego.
