Every offseason college football fans sit around and anxiously wait for Phil Steele to release his college football information ... well, anxiously is a stretch, but it is a big thing. On Monday, Steele released his all-conference lists and the Pac-12 list had a few familiar names.
As expected we see Dom Williams on the list as a 4th team all Pac-12 receiver. Williams finished his 2014 campaign with 43 catches for 656 yards and 9 touchdowns. He was just behind River Cracraft as the second leading returning receiver. Cracraft did not make Steele's list which may come as a surprise to a lot of people as we have seen him turn into one of the Cougars best receivers at such a young age.
Joe Dahl was selected to the 3rd team as the only Cougar offensive lineman to make the list. This is no surprise either as the offensive line has struggled greatly at times in the past couple of years but has had Dahl as one of the main anchors to help out the young group.
The biggest surprise comes from a player who sat out all of last season due to injuries. Gabe Marks, who took a redshirt season as a junior, is the highest listed Cougar on Steele's list as a 2nd team wide receiver. As much as it is a surprise seeing him on this list, maybe it shouldn't be knowing what he is capable of doing. As a sophomore, Marks led the team in receptions and yards and was tied for the most touchdowns. With 74 receptions for 807 yards and 7 touchdowns, the second closest receiver in yards is Williams who had 160 yards less in the 2013 season.
There were no Cougars selected on the defensive side of the ball.
