Washington State will come out of the Martin Stadium tunnel on Saturday set out for redemption. Two weeks ago the Cougars opened the season with a disappointing loss to Portland State. Now after a thrilling win at Rutgers, the Cougars have a chance to get their first win this season in Pullman and improve to 2-1.

The game against Rutgers showed WSU has some things going for them. The wideouts made plays, the defense forced three turnovers, and Luke Falk was brilliant down the stretch. The road win also showed that WSU has some areas to work on like special teams... but let's just pray that kick and punt coverages are not an issue today.

Now with a win in their back pocket hopefully the Cougars can finish out their non-conference slate the right way. By getting off to a fast start, taking care of the football, and getting the first win on their home turf in over a year.
