Washington State University Football Spring Practice 4 - Syr Riley Jack Ellis/CougCenter

The Washington State Cougars wrapped up the second week of football spring practice — and first full week with pads — on Saturday, including the first scrimmage of the year.

A quick look at the scrimmage statistics showed a strong outing from Tennessee transfer Jarrett Guarantano, going a perfect 8-for-8 for 115 yards. QB Jayden de Laura is yet to join in on the action, but reports that he has been working with the strength and conditioning staff implies an upcoming return, potentially as soon as Tuesday.

The big surprise was walk-on wide receiver Drake Owen leading the team in receptions (6) and yards (139).

We have a shorter gallery this week, as a snowy Saturday forced that scrimmage into the bubble — and away from media eyes. Go Cougs!
