2021 WSU Crimson and Gray Spring Game - Jack Ellis/CougCenter

The Washington State Cougars wrapped up the 2021 Crimson and Gray Game on Saturday, an entertaining scrimmage that included a long snapper duel, a post game water balloon fight, and Cameo appearances from Dolph Lundgren, Christopher McDonald, and Dikembe Mutombo. In the end, the Gray team (defense) won the showcase with a 74-37 victory over the Crimson squad (offense).

A multitude of starters not suiting up (Max Borghi, Renard Bell, Liam Ryan to name a few) allowed for some breakout performances by new faces, including a 2 TD and 71-yard day by Spokane native Kannon Katzer. Katzer — a walk on — has been all over the practice field this spring, and if he isn’t careful, he might find himself earning some reps when the season kicks off in September.

I was there, capturing the game’s biggest moments and plays. Enjoy!
