The pads are back on! Finally!

Washington State University Football Fall Practice 6 - Football Helmets Jack Ellis/CougCenter

Welcome back Coug Nation, we’ve missed you. It has been 238 days since your Washington State University football team last took the field, and we are now only three weeks away from the kickoff of the 2021 campaign. A shortened 2020 season that endured cancelled games and empty stadiums is long in the rear view mirror by now, leaving nothing but optimism and a fresh start for Nick Rolovich’s first complete season on the Palouse.

Competition has been running high through the first seven practices of fall camp, with plenty of starting positions up for grabs. While most starters are returning in 2021 due to eligibility waivers from the pandemic, the transfer portal reckoning has brought in several Power 5 players who will look to compete for valuable minutes this fall. Transfers to look out for as camp progresses are LB Ben Wilson, RB Nakia Watson, and DB Chris Jackson.

CougCenter has been at Rogers Field since day one of fall camp; make sure to check out our Twitter account for new photos every day. Enjoy!
