How to watch No. 16 WSU vs. No. 5 USC: TV schedule, online streaming, odds and more

The biggest matchup of the young Pac-12 season has arrived.

NCAA Football: Nevada at Washington State James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

The No. 16 Washington State Cougars are aiming for a program-defining victory under Mike Leach, and the No. 5 USC Trojans provide the perfect opportunity to get one tonight.

Both teams are undefeated, and both teams have narrowly escaped with victories to remain that way — USC with an overtime win over Texas, WSU with an overtime win over Boise State. Now (with apologies to Stanford), the two teams meet in what is the top matchup of the young Pac-12 season.

The Cougars are the more untested of the two teams, having played a series of weak opponents — perhaps with the exception of the Broncos — all of them at home. The Trojans, meanwhile, appear eminently vulnerable despite their ranking; they’ve had stretches of poor play that perhaps could catch up to them against a better team.

The line on the game has hovered right around USC plus-4 1/2, with the line getting as high at USC plus-5 in some places.
