It goes without saying Washington State is going to have a very deep group at the wide receiver position this fall when camp gets underway. You can officially toss another name into the hat as Palo Duro High School and Amarillo, TX wide receiver Charleston White has sent his letter of intent to WSU.
Scout and Rivals list White as a 2-star wide receiver and at 6'1" or 6 feet even depending on who you ask. You can have a look at Kyle's evaluation right here. Rancourt expects White to redshirt in an effort to tack a little meat onto his bones but like his speed and what that could do to stretch the field. White didn't get a positional ranking from Rivals but was ranked the 254th best at his position by Scout. You can have a look at his highlights here.
White was courted by other BCS schools with offers reportedly in hand from Arizona State, Baylor, Colorado State, Nevada, New Mexico and Tulsa. There was some fear White would follow his high school friend and former WSU commit Montreal Meander to Texas when Meander flipped his commitment on Monday but without an offer in hand from the Longhorns, White stuck with Washington State.
Welcome to the Cougar family Charleston!
