WSU made it into the final three of four-star offensive lineman Kaleb McGary, but the Fife, Wash., product opted for Chris Petersen and the Washington Huskies on Monday, according to Northwest Prep Report.

McGary had been reportedly leaning to Washington months ago, but Steve Sarkisian's departure led him to consider other options. Petersen was able to do enough to get him into the fold -- although, as it turns out, Wisconsin is where he really wanted to go.

"Wisconsin is amazing in all aspects but 1,800 miles is too far away," McGary told Dirk Knudsen. "The UW will be a perfect fit and I am all in ready to go to work."

McGary would have been the most highly regarded offensive lineman in the Cougars' class had he committed. As it stands, there are three offensive linemen currently committed - three-star Sean Krepsz, who already is enrolled in school and working out with the team, three-star Andre Dillard, and two-star Brandon Evers.

There do not appear to be any other serious offensive line targets left to commit to WSU in the next couple of days, unless three-star junior college lineman Miguel Machado, a one-time WSU commit, flips back after announcing last week he'd be heading to Purdue.
