Kyle Sweet gave WSU coaches a verbal commitment  back in December and solidified further after his January visit, staying with high school teammate, River Cracraft. The consensus 3-star prospect  made his commitment officially on Wednesday when he signed his Letter of Intent.

Sweet played WR at Santa Margarita Catholic in Santa Margarita, Calif. for two seasons after switching from Quarterback. lists Sweet at 6-foot and 183 pounds. His other reported offer was from Hawaii, according to Rivals.

Sweet joins a lengthy list of receiver commits expected to sign today, replacing several departing receivers such as Vince Mayle, Isiah Myers and Kristoff Williams. Whether he plays as a true freshman or redshirts remains to be seen, but it wouldn't be a shock to see him suit up next season, particularly on special teams.

Brian Anderson's quick scouting report:

Described as a "faster version of River Cracraft"...appropriate. Very technical route runner. Electric after the catch. Top-end that can beat most defenders, but his quickness in and out of cuts really stands out - extremely shifty, dances for every extra yard. Highly capable in traffic, despite size is able to find the ball amidst defenders. Outstanding hands. Absolutely no fear over the middle, he'll take a hit for a reception.
