The Washington State Cougars picked up a huge commitment for their 2018 class on Friday when Drue Jackson — a wide receiver from Sachse, Texas, who is rated four stars by both Scout and Rivals — announced he would be coming to Pullman next fall.
He followed up his live announcement with maybe the best announcement video ever:

The 6-foot-1, 186-pound Jackson is the 66th ranked receiver in the class of 2018 according to the 247Sports composite rankings, which rate him as a high three-star prospect. The experts in 247’s “Crystal Ball” thought WSU would be the choice, and they were correct.
The other schools in the mix for the talented wide out were the Utah Utes and Texas Tech Red Raiders. He visited WSU for the Oregon State game on September 15 and also took an official to Utah. Texas Tech is a local school, but Jackson spoke highly of the Air Raid and Mike Leach to Scout reporter Greg Powers.
“It is really just the offense. Coach (Mike) Leach is really just like everybody thinks — he throws the ball every play,” Jackson said. “It was fourth and one on the goal line. Most people are going to run the ball. They were throwing the ball, so they throw the ball all the time.”
Jackson looks to play primarily outside in high school and profiles to do the same at WSU with his size. In seven games so far this year he has 24 receptions for 393 yards and three touchdowns.
Jackson is the second receiver commit for WSU rated four stars by a service in this class, and the fourth receiver overall. You can check out his highlights below.
Here’s a look at how the class currently stands. You can always find the most up-to-date list here.
