The Washington State Cougars will wrap up their football season when they head to Salt Lake City to face the Utah Utes on Saturday morning. This will be the second-straight year the Cougs travel to Utah’s capital, and they’d surely like to reverse the fortunes of last year’s difficult loss.

WSU comes into its final game having played just three of six previous scheduled contests, and having seen the field just once since October 14. The Cougs sit at 1-2 and technically would qualify for bowl eligibility with a win at Utah, but head coach Nick Rolovich has indicated the team would not pursue any offer of a postseason game.

Utah is in the same situation, sitting with a 2-2 record. Kyle Whittingham’s squad would also forego any potential bowl season.

The Cougs know as well as anyone that no game is guaranteed. They were pulled off the field during pregame warmups last week in what would have been an afternoon meetup with Cal. Still, this is a game time and TV schedule post, so we will offer up that information you need and keep our fingers crossed that the Utes and Cougs actually play football.
