Cal vs. WSU football: Preview, game time, TV schedule, odds, and more.

Cal visits WSU on Saturday night. Both teams are 2-4, but the Golden Bears are heavy favorites to win.

Bob Stanton-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Washington State Cougars host the Cal Golden Bears on Saturday night, with the Cougs looking for their first conference win. Both teams sit at 2-4 with just one win over an FBS opponent, but Cal has played a much tougher schedule thus far.

WSU is riding a three game losing streak to open Pac-12 play. They haven't played in Martin Stadium since blowing a 17-point fourth quarter lead to Colorado in Week 4. Since then, the Cougars have shown improvement in losses to Oregon and Oregon State. The Cougars will have Connor Halliday taking the snaps and fans hope to see improvement from the sophomore signal caller. The Cougs are still adjusting to head coach Mike Leach's offense.

Cal had everything come together in a blowout win over the UCLA Bruins last Saturday. After losses to Nevada, Ohio State, and USC (teams with two losses combined) the Golden Bears proved to be much better than their overall record by taking down a talented Bruins squad.

Cal took the last meeting between these two teams, 30-7, and has not last to WSU since 2001.

Game time, TV schedule: 7:30 p.m. PT, Pac-12 Networks

Spread: Cal favored by 7 points.
