WSU vs. Cal football: Open game thread

It's been a long day waiting, but the battle for first place is here!

James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington State Cougars and California Golden Bears play football tonight. Both those teams are 1-1 in Pac-12 play. Currently, that places these two squads in a 5-way tie for first place in the Pac-12 North (leaving 0-1 Washington out of the loop).

So, as I've written in my last two posts, the winner of this game will be 2-1 in conference and rise above the jumbled mess, reigning on high for at least one week of the college football season.

Whichever team emerges at the top of the division on Saturday night will probably have scored a good number of points. Cal's offense is awesome. Cal's defense is bad. WSU's defense is okay, but is prone to allowing big plays. WSU's offense is solid, but just so happens to love to do what Cal's defense defends the worst (pass).

It should be an exciting game with SO MUCH ON THE LINE CAN YOU EVEN HANDLE IT? If you can, or even if you can't, express your thoughts and feelings on the game here in the game thread.
