Podcast Vs. Everyone: We’ve had just about enough of Berkeley

Also: Let’s talk about Pac-12 refs, Oregon/Utah/CFP, the NCAA’s faux power, and WSU hoops.

A day later than usual, and it will probably not shock you to find out that we weren’t real excited to spend a bunch of time breaking down the Washington State Cougars’ loss to the California Golden Bears.

Sooooo ... we just didn’t talk about it all that much. We did touch on a whole bunch of other topics, though, so hopefully you enjoy this eclectic mix of sports talk that sometimes is only tangentially related to WSU.

Apologies in advance for the volume levels of the ads. I’ve worked super hard to try and even those out, but the vendor that SB Nation uses to host podcasts is horribly inconsistent with that and every time I think I’ve figured out the trick, there’s a week like this one. Sorry.

Show rundown:

  • WSU football: We debrief Cal a little, but don’t dwell on that too much. Pac-12 refs strike again. How are we feeling about the team’s bowl chances?
  • Miscellany (32:00ish): Let’s just throw in some general Pac-12 talk. We even ramble into some CFP breakdowns and NCAA criticism.
  • WSU hoops (1:04:00ish): The Cougs take on Santa Clara on Tuesday. We give a brief preview. And let’s celebrate the WSU soccer team, as well as our other favorite soccer team, the Seattle Sounders.

Fair warning, we do use naughty words from time. You’ll probably hate it. We don’t care.
