It’s finally here: No. 22 WSU vs. No. 10 Colorado, the biggest game for the Cougars since 2003.
It’s a bit of an odd game in that a loss doesn’t really do anything in terms of WSU’s ultimate goal of winning a Pac-12 championship and earning a Rose Bowl berth; beating Washington next week will take care of that, no matter what happens today.
That said, nobody on WSU is thinking that way. This is an enormous opportunity for the Cougars — who have won eight straight games, many of them by multiple TDs, only to still be ranked No. 22 by the CFP committee — to finally overcome the perception problem they’ve been carrying around since a week one loss to Eastern Washington.
