The similarities between the Washington State Cougars and Colorado Buffaloes are striking — not just in terms of where their unit strengths are on the field, but also the fact that they’re 3-3 and looking for a way to take a big step toward bowl eligibility.
One major difference is that the Buffs bring a new coach to Pullman — Mel Tucker, who had been the defensive coordinator with the Georgia Bulldogs. What you might not expect is that a defensive-minded coach actually leads a team whose defense is objectively terrible. However, his offense is pretty darned good, and that should at least ensure an exciting game.
Because that’s what we need — more excitement!!
Let’s break it down.
Fair warning, we do use naughty words from time. You’ll probably hate it. We don’t care.
