The Washington State Cougars host the Colorado Buffaloes with both teams in need of a win to bolster bowl hopes for the rest of the season. Each school sits at 3-3 and with each having tough schedules remaining, this might be loser-out for a chance at a bowl.
WSU and Colorado are almost twins in that they both possess excellent offenses but atrocious defenses. Each has seen its defense blow winnable games where only an average unit would have sufficed.
These defenses are far from average in a bad way, and combined with the two good offenses we should see some points. That is, of course, assuming that the wet and windy weather doesn’t play too much of a factor.
Weather has been just fine for the Cougs the last two times Colorado came to Pullman. Both were cold and wet nights, and both ended in blowout Washington State wins. The Buffs should put up more of a fight offensively this time around.
