WSU vs. Oregon State football 2018: Game time, TV schedule, stream, radio and more

The Cougs aim for a fifth-straight win against the Beavs on Saturday night.

NCAA Football: Oregon State at Washington State James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington State Cougars are seeking their fifth win of 2018, and a fifth-consecutive win over the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday in Corvallis. WSU is coming off a dramatic 28-24 win over Utah last weekend, while the Beavers are in search of a first conference win after a pair of big losses to Arizona and Arizona State the last two weeks.

WSU comes in as heavy favorites, hovering near 17 points. The Cougs were two-touchdown favorites in 2016 for their last trip to Corvallis, but things weren’t that easy. Oregon State jumped out to a 21-0 lead before a furious second half rally allowed Wazzu to escape with a 35-31 road win.

So, regardless of the spread, a cakewalk should not be assumed for Washington State. The Beavers have weapons on offense, and the type of attack that can exploit WSU’s aggressive style of defense. In fact, OSU head coach Jonathan Smith did just that in his previous position as the offensive coordinator at UW.

On the other side of the ball, the Cougs do figure to move the ball effectively against an OSU defense that has not given up less than 35 points to an FBS opponent all season, including 77 to Ohio State and 52 to Arizona State. That 64.5-point total looks very much in danger.
