I think there may be a link for every possibly angle of tonight's game below and in an attempt to not make them a giant blob, I'll separate them out.

We will also have a college football open thread later this morning and a few posts throughout the day to keep everyone busy until kickoff. I believe all of the authors located in Washington will be at the game today so if you see one of us, be sure say hello, or F#%k you Kyle Rancourt, whatever works.

What's at stake: Oregon ventures out on the road for the first time this season to face a mediocre WSU team in a venue that has not been kind to out-of-state teams. Last Monday, Green Bay lost to Seattle thanks to a questionable call on a last-second touchdown pass. On Thursday, Washington upset No. 8 Stanford. Now it's WSU's turn to host a game at CenturyLink.

The Countdown: Oregon at Washington State - Addicted To Quack

This game looked a lot more exciting a week ago. Maybe Washington State had an off game against BYU to start off the season and they would get better. Perhaps the passing attack would catch fire this game and Oregon's secondary could get a really good test before playing Washington. However, once Washington State blew a 4th quarter lead to Colorado, we knew it was over.

Keys To the Game- Spokesman.com - Sept. 29, 2012
1Run, run, run – on defense. The Cougars tried to simulate Oregon’s frenetic offensive pace in practice this week, but as linebackers coach Jeff Choate said, the Ducks’ speed isn’t something that can be accurately replicated by a scout team. WSU must line up properly on every play to have a chance of stopping an Oregon team that ranks fifth in the nation in total offense. It sounds simple enough, but running defenses ragged is what the Ducks do best.

SEATTLE – Since Chip Kelly took over as Oregon’s head football coach prior to the 2009 season, the Ducks have lost six games – once to USC, once to LSU, once to Auburn, once to Ohio State, once to Stanford and once, in Kelly’s debut as coach, to Boise State.

Oregon heads up to Seattle tomorrow night for their first road test. It hasn't been an easy year for the Cougs, but that doesn't mean they couldn't give us some info on their team. Jeff Nusser was kind enough to answer a few of our questions on the Cougars.

It’s impossible for a football strategist to not be happy this weekend, as Chip Kelly and Mike Leach will finally be squaring off in a spread-offense showcase. The Ducks haven’t had much success at CenturyLink field (or any of its incarnations) recently, but will look to turn things around when they face an unraveling Washington State football team.
