Podcast Vs. Everyone: Beating Stanford still feels great, FYI

Basketball played a pair of games, so let’s talk about those, too.

The Washington State Cougars returned home for what seemed like the first time in a month ... wait, it actually was a month! ... and they seemed to enjoy it as much as the Dad’s Weekend revelers, taking out that month’s worth of frustration on the woebegone Stanford Cardinal.

Man, that felt good. Let’s talk about it.

Show rundown:

  • WSU football: What are our takeaways? Here’s one: We were very dumb to have underestimated Brandon Arconado (pictured above) before the season. Plus, a quick look ahead to the last couple of weeks of the season, including Saturday’s massive tilt with the Oregon State Beavers.
  • Hoops (46:00ish): The week started out with a loss to the Santa Clara Broncos but recovered with a win over the Idaho State Bengals. What have we learned so far from watching Kyle Smith’s team? Quite a bit, actually.

Fair warning, we do use naughty words from time. You’ll probably hate it. We don’t care.
