There will be a few extra gray beards in the student section as UCLA visits WSU on Saturday for Dad's Weekend. Apartments are as clean as they will be until next April when the Moms visit, and student bellies will be full of non-ramen food for the first time since they splurged on financial aid check day.
The Bruins will bring an improved offense and defense, and a shiny 7-2 record, under first-year head coach Jim Mora. Brett Hundley and Johnathan Franklin are featured in a balanced attack that will be difficult for WSU to stop, and the Bruins front seven are likely to make life miserable for the Cougar offensive line again.
Dad's Weekend did bring a little bit of magic last year, as Connor Halliday was introduced to the world by throwing for 494 yards against the Arizona State Sun Devils. WSU will need another otherworldly performance like that to pull off an upset.
