When it was revealed earlier this week that Gardner Minshew II would follow up his big Thursday Night Football win for the Jacksonville Jaguars by making his way to Pullman for the Washington State Cougars vs. UCLA Bruins, you knew he was going to be front and center.
WSU’s favorite son didn’t disappoint, even if his magic couldn’t rub off on his former teammates.
Minshew’s night started with a meet-and-greet with fans, and there were a lot of people who were very excited to see him:

He spent some time holding court:

Only the important questions, though:
Gardner Minshew said his mom was the first one to tell him about the endorsement offer from adult entertainment website Cam Soda.

“She wasn’t too happy with it so I kind of let her decide on that one.” pic.twitter.com/Bv1J7CxxNI
Then he made his way into the stadium to raise the flag before the game:

Stationed on the sidelines for the game, there was no possible way that he was going to make it through the evening without an interview for the ESPN broadcast. Again, only the important questions:

In what should have been a fun twist, Minshew got to watch his successor, Anthony Gordon, break his school record for touchdown passes in a game — Minshew threw for seven touchdowns in last season’s 69-28 win over the Arizona Wildcats, and Gordon threw for nine TDs on Saturday in an insane 570-yard performance. But somehow, it wasn’t enough to win the game, ruining everyone’s fun.
